NSS

Students possess creative minds, working hands, wisdom & compassion, self employment, self discipline and self respect. One of the aims of education is to make aware the students about their duty towards society and nation. With this intention the college has started N.S.S. under the supervision of Shivaji University Kolhapur. The aim of N.S.S. is ‘Healthy Youth for healthy society’.

Every year 100 students are selected as N.S.S. Vohnteers. The N.S.S. unit organizes many activities every year which aims at community development. Civic responsibilities are inculcated among the students through the varied functions of the N.S.S. unit of college. The N.S.S. unit works for superstition eradication through many activities. It organizes following activities.

• Rallies :- To create awareness among people the N.S.S. unit organizes health rally, rally for spread of literacy propagation, cleanliness etc.
• Collection of funds for earthquake affected, flood affected etc.
• Lectures of dignitaries are organized for all round development of students, social awareness, self-discipline etc.
• Various competitions: - Essay competition debate competition, education competition etc. are arranged to cultivate the creative minds of students.
• Guidance Speeches
• Ten days camp in an adopted village.
• Blood donation 8) Pulse Polio campaign
• Physical labour for cleaning of drainage, roads, villages, mending and construction of roads & water tanks, compost fertilizer dig plantation, health check up, AIDS awareness programmes etc.
